Artist Statement

Design must serve, not the ego, but the natural world, and all life beyond the self.

Perfection is not the goal. Space must be left for imperfection, because only then can objects, and people, breathe, change, and belong to the world without being trapped in unrealistic standards that discard them at the first scratch.

We already have enough. Too many products, too many materials, too many things made for ego and novelty. My work begins with what is already here. We must use what nature gave us. Synthetical materials may be used MINDFULLY in a design, only when no valid alternative is available, just as facilitators for a project.

Listening comes before making. Listening to people and their rituals, to materials that speak in cycles of growth and decay, to the subtle needs that reveal themselves in slowness. Our aim should not be to solve or to perfect, but to care, to serve, to hold space.

My practice moves through object, experiment, publication, and installation. But these are only forms. The deeper purpose is to create work that supports connection with nature and with each other, that slows us down, and that reminds us we are part of something larger than ourselves.

Endurance comes not from novelty or difference, but from necessity, humility, and the ability to give something back.
